Windows & Commissions
Commissions
This gallery shows works that have been commissioned. How to Commission a Piece
1 Getting Started
It's very easy, just get in touch and explain what you would like, for example, windows for your boat or home. Please include any pictures or ideas for the project.
2 Developing your Design
Working from your ideas, I will develop your design. For larger projects this may involve us meeting to consider design possibilities.
3 Making the Final Artwork
During the final making phase I will regularly update you with photos of the work in progress. When the piece is completed I will send you a final picture for approval and make arrangements for collection or delivery.
Payment
• Smaller Projects e.g. Table Top Sculpture or Plate.
Before developing your design a 30% deposit is requested to cover materials. The final payment of the remainder of the cost is paid upon successful completion.
• Larger projects, for example windows.
An initial 10% deposit secures your slot in my schedule. Immediately prior to the project starting, a second deposit of 30% is paid. The final payment of the remainder of the cost is paid upon successful completion. For some projects, where a third party supplier such as a window manufacturer is involved, a third payment may be required before completion.
Once a project quote is given, the only additional cost is for delivery. All deposits are non-refundable.
Windows
Examples of Window CommissionsMy windows have twice featured in the boats that have won Favourite Narrowboat at the Crick Boat Show. In 2019 on 'Two Hoots' from Boating Leisure Services and in 2017 on 'Threpence Ha'penny' by Bourne Boatbuilders.
I can develop a design based on your own ideas or the website gives examples of designs. Windows can be for your home or boat. My decorative window panels can be made into double glazed units.
